It was a jam packed crowd in the last two days of the Punjab Progressive Agriculture Summit and the entire credit goes to a buffalo. Not only was it the centre of attraction for its pedigree and machismo, the main feature was its diet. The Murrah buffalo, nicknamed Raju, has a unique diet unlike others. Its regular diet chart includes 3 kilo curd, 10 kg milk and 6 kilo grains. The people who came to see the fair quoted even a staggering Rs 10 crore for the buffalo weighing 12 quintal. However, his owner was not willing to sell it. He said that he doesn’t consider it as a mere animal but treats him like his son. Raju has won several competitions and earned a prize money of Rs 18 lakhs so far.
